Studio Series productions are usually one weekend only and normally consist of staged readings or our FREE movie nights! Our readings tend to lean toward the edgy side! You will see new works (sometimes by local artists!) as well as a variety of thought provoking topics to challenge the mind.

Stan Zimmerman (The Golden Girls, Roseanne, Gilmore Girls) brings to life the last words written in letters by individuals lost to suicide — including celebrities, veterans, kids who were bullied, LGBTQ, and the clinically depressed — and those who have survived suicide attempts. Since its acclaimed first performance at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in 2015, the play has traveled across the country, raising awareness and offering hope for suicide prevention.
*There will be a talk back after both performances with discussion about the play and Stan's time as a writer on The Gilmore Girls, Rosanne, and The Golden Girls among other projects.

Holy Mother of Bingo!
by Patrick Walsh
An innocent bingo fundraiser at the Our Mother of Mercy church goes awry when parishioners mysteriously drop dead! The evidence suggests well-calculated murders, but who is to blame? Tensions rise as everyone begins identifying suspects. Past feuds rear their heads as the members of the parish try to state their innocence one by one. Who could be behind the elaborate spree? The disgruntled choir director? The magician turned youth minister? The ex-convict that has recently turned to the power of prayer? It couldn’t be one of the Cookie Cadets selling their beloved cookies! Everyone’s a suspect... even the audience in the zany comedy that takes interactive theatre to a whole new level!

The North Street Playhouse presents a multi-cast reading of stories from Ginny McMath’s book, Broken Headbone. In her first book, Ginny McMath allows you to enter her hilarious, thought provoking journey of six women taking life by the b***s when their husbands walked out with theirs. Broken Headbone travels into these women’s brains as they find their way back to themselves. Their unique adventures are told through outrageous stories. Laugh out loud in places you will find yourself thinking, “For God’s sake, snap out of it!” From dressing up for kid’s parties to apartment managing crack heads you can’t help but wonder if they lost their minds along the way.
